Stanley R. Miller, Psy.D., L.P. (Owner and Director)

Dr. Miller purchased Cedar River Counseling Services, PA from our founder, Vernon Lewis, Ph.D., L.P. in October 2008. Dr. Lewis remained on staff as our Executive Director Emeritus for several years prior to his retirement in May 2012. Dr. Miller has been a staff psychologist with CRC since March 1997. Prior to that time, he was a psychologist with the Austin Medical Center, Mayo Clinic Health System from October 1993 to March of 1997. Dr. Miller double majored in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Studies at Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN. He completed his graduate studies at the American Schools of Professional Psychology (now Argusy University) in Minneapolis, MN (1994) and an APA approved internship at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Alexandria, LA and at the Louisiana State Hospital in Pineville, LA (1993).

Dr. Miller enjoys serving in rural Minnesota and specializes in clinical psychology as a generalist working with children, adolescents and their families with a wide range of difficulties across the life span. He has a diverse practice including interests in grief and trauma counseling, behavior management treatment, couples counseling and cognitive behavior therapy of anxiety and depression.

Kim Quelle, MA, LAMFT

Ms. Quelle is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, with experience providing community-based mental health services. She is trained in Emotional-focused and Hope-focused Marriage Counseling, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and behavioral management strategies and practices as an eclectic counselor. Her practice serves couple, families, individual adults or children. Ms. Quelle offers genuine concern, support and hope in treating depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, trauma and parenting issues.

Vernon Lewis, Ph.D.,L.P. (Exec. Director Emeritus, Ret.)

Dr. Lewis is the founder of CRC. He maintains a casual advisory role with Dr. Miller.
